In the second half of 2012, three candidates will defend their thesis, under the supervision of Ronald Does and Jeroen de Mast.

The article entitled "A Robust Standard Deviation Control Chart", written by Marit Schoonhoven en Ronald Does, has been published in Technometrics.

Per January 1st, 2012, Inez Zwetsloot has started working for IBIS UvA as student assistant.

The 'public' Black Belt training, which started on January 23, is again very successful, as 39 participants have registered for this training.

Under the supervision of Dr. M. Riaz (obtained his doctorate from the UvA in 2008) and Professor R.J.M.M. Does, three Pakistani students have started their PhD research.
